About
This site exists to remove the extra translation work that left-handed players still do on most guitar resources.
The goal is simple: make left-handed chart reading feel normal, keep tablature compatible with the rest of the guitar world, and cover alternate tunings well enough that the site remains useful past the first few lessons.
Why This Resource Exists
Most guitar diagrams still assume a right-handed player, especially once you move beyond basic open chords. That creates friction before practice even begins.
The Lefty Guitarist is built to solve that specific problem with mirrored left-handed diagrams, standard tab, and a library structure that stays stable across keys, chord types, scale families and tunings.
How The Charts Work
Scale pages are generated from interval formulas and tuning data, then rendered as mirrored left-handed fretboards with focused fret-range windows and standard tab. These ranges are practice areas, not conventional numbered scale boxes.
Chord pages use the same tuning logic to generate harmonically valid voicings, filter them to a maximum four-finger and three-fret reach, then show them as vertical left-handed chord boxes. You can use standard tablature alongside these charts because tablature does not flip with handedness.
How To Use The Site
Use the mirrored chart for visual geography, then use the standard tab for note order, picking sequence and compatibility with outside lessons or transcriptions.
