Standard left-handed scale chart

F Major Left-Handed Guitar Scale Chart

Major scale notes, mirrored lefty fretboard positions and standard tab in Standard.

F Major in Standard tuning gives you the notes F, G, A, A#, C, D, E across a mirrored left-handed fretboard. Standard tuning keeps the usual string relationships intact, so it is the easiest place to compare left-handed charts with mainstream tab and lesson content. Use the mirrored chart to keep the bass side on the far right, then compare the unchanged tab underneath when translating mainstream lessons.

Charts are mirrored for left-handed players. Standard tablature below stays unchanged because tab does not flip with handedness.

Context

How To Use This Page

Overview

Major feels bright, open and strongly resolved and is useful for melodic hooks, clean chord melody and pop or country lead guitar.

Lefty Translation

If a right-handed lesson tells you to shift a major shape up the neck on the low E string, that string sits on the right edge of the chart here.

Practice Cue

Land clearly on the 3rd and 7th so the major colour stays obvious

Tuning Context

Standard feels balanced, familiar and easy to compare with lesson material. It lets you focus on left-handed visual translation without also learning a new tuning layout.

Matching Left-Handed Chords

These chord pages use the same tuning and key centre so you can move straight from a scale chart into left-handed rhythm work.
