Drop D left-handed scale chart

A Minor Left-Handed Guitar Scale Chart

Minor scale notes, mirrored lefty fretboard positions and standard tab in Drop D.

A Minor in Drop D tuning gives you the notes A, B, C, D, E, F, G across a mirrored left-handed fretboard. Drop D leaves most of the neck familiar but changes the bass side immediately, which is especially relevant for left-handed players who use mirrored rhythm charts. Let your picking hand settle into the mirrored note flow first, then train the fretting hand to keep the b3 and b6 in tune during stretches.

Charts are mirrored for left-handed players. Standard tablature below stays unchanged because tab does not flip with handedness.

Context

How To Use This Page

Overview

Minor feels dark, weighty and naturally emotive and is useful for rock rhythm work, cinematic melodies and moody lead lines.

Lefty Translation

The chart is mirrored for left-handed reading, but the tab still reads in the same top-string-to-bottom-string order as every standard transcription.

Practice Cue

Make the minor 3rd and minor 6th stand out so the scale sounds fuller than a basic pentatonic box

Tuning Context

Drop D feels heavier on the low end while staying familiar on the top five strings. It makes low-string riffs and one-finger power movement faster to understand in left-handed view.

Matching Left-Handed Chords
